Opening Doors to Happiness
Where comfort meets culture, and every guest becomes family
I’m Dr. Rituraj Pathak, a cosmetic dentist with my private practice located right on the ground floor. Alongside me is my wife, Shreya — an English teacher for senior school students, and a trained classical dancer who brings rhythm, grace, and warmth into our lives and home. Our two young sons, Shlok and Vishrut, are the soul of Hideout. Shlok, our curious 10-year-old, is in Grade 5 and has a unique hobby — collecting coins from our guests around the world, which he cherishes like treasures. Little Vishrut, just 4, has recently started school and fills the house with his laughter and mischief.
In 2019, we opened the doors to The Hideout Agra, a boutique bed & breakfast designed to be more than just a stay — it’s a feeling of home in the heart of Agra. Hideout Agra is built on values of sustainable tourism and mindful living. We proudly run an eco-friendly space, offer vegetarian home-cooked meals, and curate authentic local experiences like Indian cooking classes, food walks, and heritage walking tours through Agra’s lesser-known gems.
This homestay is also a tribute to my late father, Raj B. Pathak, one of Agra’s most respected senior tour guides, who passionately served travelers for nearly 60 years. It was his dream to create a homestay that welcomed people not just as guests, but as part of our extended family. Today, we are honored to continue that dream in his memory.
